ACT

Founded in 1983 by a group of community volunteers, ACT is working towards a city with zero new HIV infections, zero HIV-related stigma and discrimination, and zero AIDS-related deaths. Since then, ACT has grown to be Canada’s largest HIV service organization, benefiting from the devotion of its accomplished staff, thousands of committed volunteers and the many, many thousands of people living with HIV who have and continue to form the backbone of the ACT community.

As a leader in gay, bi, and queer (GBQ) men’s health in Toronto, ACT is proud to offer programs and services for people living with and at increased risk for HIV. These services include, anonymous HIV testing, free counselling to GBQ guys regardless of HIV status, group support on various topics such as substance use, body image, and wellness, and HIV and sexual health education, prevention and outreach services
